This week Róisín Murphy is not taking her foot off our necks with the hottest single yet from her next album, a Boiler Room session and news of a dream collabo with Jessie Ware. Loverboy is basically a Róisín Murphy fansite newsletter at this point and we’re not mad at it!
On Tuesday Róisín dropped new single, ‘You Knew‘ and for us it is most definitely our favourite yet. The full version with DJ Koze is a seven-minute trippy groove to get lost in with Róisín talking, singing, delivering, daaahling, to a reluctant lover. The track comes along with two banging remixes from PAYFONE & Eli Escobar. Both go in harder than the original and give us the club vibes we look to Róisín for. More of this please, Róisín, love. Ta.
Also this week Jessie Ware announced that she’ll be hooking up with Róisín on a remix to her track, ‘Freak Me Now’, with the video already in the bag. The track drops on 27th July.
Plus yesterday Róisín’s Boiler Room session hit YouTube. Recorded in Paris it sees her play new tracks from the forthcoming album, The Hit Parade. Hearing all the tracks together make even more sense for this new direction. Shout out to one track in the set, which we’re thinking is ‘The House’, we need this one in our lives asap. Check it out below around the nine minute mark.
