What a beautiful way to start a rainy Monday – listening to the new single from brother-sister duo, Wasia Project. Giving us  a moment of Air-meets-Aimee Mann, their new single ‘My Lover Is Sleeping‘ has a hazy vibe connected to that moment between reverie and waking up.

The band says: “The piece follows a character who is intimately watching their lover sleep, imagining all of the different places the lover might be going in his dreams. The song is warped in the space between consciousness and the dream. Between the singer and her lover. And of course between the artist and the listener.”

Wasia Project consists of Heartstopper’s Will Gao and his sister Olivia Hardy who together create dreamy, lo-fi, bedroom pop with this release dropping via LAOLAO Records / AWAL Recordings. You can catch them live this summer at the following festivals.
