For a lot of designers, unisex clothing means chucking you in a dull-coloured sack and calling it ‘androgynous’. Thankfully there are also companies like Telfar that have a little more vision. Always bringing interesting ideas to the table, they have just been signed on to design the uniform for over 10, 000 team members of White Castle hamburger joints across mid-west America.
To celebrate, Telfar have just gone one step further and collaborated with the fast food chain on a new capsule collection. Working the logo and branding into fresh new designs including hoodies, caps and tees, not only are the items must-haves but also 100% of the capsule’s proceeds go to the Robert F. Kennedy Human Rights LIBERTY AND JUSTICE fund to pay bail for Minors held on Rikers Island. Average bail in NYC is $900 and those who cannot afford it can be detained for years while innocent awaiting trial.
