Loverboy has always loved a try-er so it’s no surprise we developed a total crush on Adore Delano the second she walked into the Dressing Room for the Sixth Season of Drag Race. So much so in fact, that we got Greg Bailey to shoot her for our second issue, alongside Joseph Harwood.
The question is now she’s back for All Stars Season 2, will she hang around or let her demons get the best of her. Here’s some of what she had to say to us for our second issue which you can still order here. (£8 Print. £5 Digital.)
How different was the Drag Race experience to what was broadcast?
It was pretty similar but you know what’s fucked up? There were a lot of fights they didn’t air. I had one with Milk and I thought they should have aired that. I understood her style of drag right off the bat but she thought I was some young queen who wasn’t ready. It was surprising because those are the bitches that see the art.
So let’s talk about the mother RuPaul. What did you think of the queen?
I was like, ‘Oh shit, he’s real.’ He’s cool, he gave me advice. He was teary-eyed, like, ‘Bitch, you’re too insecure about shit you don’t need to be insecure about. You’re not at home, you’re on the show, stop it!’
He’s a spiritual bitch.
SO spiritual and so fucking smart, he’s brilliant.
