This weekend marks the most chaotic event in the American calendar. No gurl, not a presidential election, but Spring Break – a time when everyone is out to get Wet’n’Wild. This year, this most scandalous of holidays will be heading for Barcelona with two of our favourite Drace Race Queens bringing the party. I live!
This Sunday (26th March), sees Trinity The Tuck and Miz Cracker jet into Razzmatazz for a lip sync extravagaaaanza, some serious shade and a tea-spilling Q&A you will never forget, hosted by the fabulous Joan Oh from Pluma. Ever since we first saw Trinity do that tumble roll on Season Nine we have been obsessed. This Sunday we get to experience that ass in person….sorry, plastic!!! To celebrate Spring Break at Razzmatazz, we spoke with Trinity and Joan Oh to find out more…
Buenos dias, Trinity! Spring Break is an essential American tradition. What can we expect from your Spring Break here in Barcelona? Escandaloooo?!
Spring break definitely has its moments but the US has many scandalous events! Plus every day is scandalous for me because I barely wear any clothes!! Spring Break is all about fun, so I’m coming to have fun with you all and hope you let loose and have a blast!
Is that a Loosey LaDuca reference? Because we stan our ‘Let Loose’ kween! Back to Espana. What else are you excited to do while you are in town?
Papi chulo in my culo! Hahahaha…I haven’t been to Barcelona before so I definitely want to see all the sites in your beautiful city!

Spain has some amazing drag! I was fortunate to meet many of your queens at Drag Con UK this year but def can’t wait to see them again for Spring Break!
Besides our queens, who are your favourite Spanish figures from pop culture?
Both La Veneno & Manu Rios come to mind! I loved watching the TV show, La Veneno and ELITE is one of my favorite shows on Netflix!

Joan Oh, holaaaa! How excited are you to be hosting Spring Break? What can we expect?
Hi Loverboy!! I am VERY excited to be hosting the show for Basilica Productions and welcoming our American sisters Trinity The Tuck and Miz Cracker to Barcelona for a night of fun and fabulousness!! I am a big fan of both queens and looking forward to sharing the stage with two of drag’s most respected performers.
Expect a full-throttle, Lip-Syncing, Death-Dropping, Tongue-Popping DragStravaGanzaaaaa darling!!! These queens didn’t come to play!! Not only will the girls be performing but I’ll have the chance to get up close and personal with them and ask them some burning questions – it’s gonna be hot! We also have a guest performer Milky Vinyl coming from Tel Aviv to open the show and I’ll be throwing out a few surprises myself! You won’t wanna miss it!!
Spring Break is an essential American tradition. Will you be bringing a traditional UK festivity to the event? What is your favourite UK tradition/event?
Like Ginger Spice herself, I will be paying tribute to the UK with one of my looks – and I’ll be mixing the hosting in English, Spanish and even a bit of Catalan!!! (I think my Spanish is a bit better than Geri’s though).
My favourite UK tradition has to be a roast dinner!!! I am MAD for roast potatoes, I love going to a carvery on a Sunday, and piling my plate up!! no matter how full I am there’s always room for apple crumble and custard!!! Oooooh I’m starving now!
How have you seen the Barcelona drag scene change since you arrived here?
Since I arrived in Barcelona in 2016 the drag scene has EXPLODED!!! Partly in thanks to the popularity of shows like Ru Paul’s Drag Race, but also because of parties such as Pluma which I started in 2017 to just give everyone a chance to show off and do drag without worrying about being perfect and regardless of gender or age or experience – everyone is welcome and everyone is a star!!!

My fave is All I Want For Christmas Is You – I mean, I sort of hate it… but once you hear that first lyric, It sinks its teeth into you and you have to surrender to the jingle bells!!!!
It’s also iconic that she plays up to it every year – that video she made where she turns from a witch on October 31 into sexy Santa on November 1 is everything!!!
