What better way to ready ourselves for our flight back to our little casa en Cataluña than propping ourselves up in Gatwick’s Departures Lounge with a glass of chilled Pinot and telling you about one of Barcelona’s hottest restaurants – and somewhere you’ll be finding Loverboy’s culo parked most of the summer.

Yes, a few weeks ago, we had the pleasure of visiting the newly reopened Salt Restaurant & Beach Club. Set up under the iconic W Hotel on the beach, the views are stunning and it’s the perfect place to unwind after a day in the sun…or in our case sixty minutes. Three years living here and that’s still all our porcelain skin can handle!

But back to Salt, because their new menu is fucking delicious and they did not come to play – this year launching THE BEAST. And in case there was any doubt, this is the burger to crush all burgers. Just take a look at the image below, yes, that is two burgers, two eggs, bacon, cheese and more. This new addition has come from their recent collaboration with some of our favourite designers, Brain & Beast, who have also kitted out the staff with some sexy new ensembles.

If this burger looks a little ambitious, then fear not as Salt has you covered. As you would hope, they have every kind of cocktail you could possibly want from a Dizzy Voodoo to a Dainty Rose. So far we’ve managed to sample 75%, so we’re looking forward to returning and completing out list.  See you there this summer!
