Primavera Sound‘s Á La Ciutat shows are always a highlight of every edition. Exclusive shows for ticket holders that take place across Barcelona in the days leading up to the main weekend, they could, whisper it, even be our favourite part of the festival. In 2025 the addition gets even bigger, with shows from 2nd-8th June, giving you now a whole week of music.
Primavera Sound expands outside of it’s Parc Del Forum and heads into the seven smaller venues across the city, bringing artists, both emerging andf established, to play intimate shows. Tickets are initially only for those with a full festival ticket or a VIP ticket – although exact details on how to resever them yet to come. Then a small number are up for sale through Fever.
Keeping us waiting for the reveal for what felt like forever this year, it was clear the team were organising something very special this year, but nothing prepared us for this. Fourteen bands from the festival’s line up will be taking part in the Ciutat shows this year, with Horsegirl, Kelly Lee Owens and Beach House all playing extra sets outside their festival appearance. Added to this are appearances from artists not even playing the main festival which now means we get to finally witness Allie X tour her Girl With No Face era and even see our favourite new punk duo, Lambrini Girls. We’ve been wanting to catch local band Remei De Ca La Fresca for a while plus we’ll be getting down to something Irish Republic rap with Kneecap. Oh and you will absolutely be seeing us worshipping the Welsh goth-rock of Tristwch Y Fenywod.
Tickets for the festival are now sold out but this year Primavera Sound will also be showcasing twenty-two artists at Barcelona’s CCCB for free so there’s music for everyone.
