Q2 2023 sees Tom Aspaul return to the stage, as we travel to Planet Fantastic for 12 shows across the world. After a blockbuster 2022, with the release of second studio album ‘Life In Plastic’ including three stellar music videos, a re-released expanded version, several UK festival appearances (including Mighty Hoopla and the Commonwealth Games) and ‘Black Country Disco – The Book’ – Aspaul is ready to bring the party to venues up and down the UK, across Europe and for the first time, North America.
With carefully curated local support acts in every city, each evening promises to be a celebration and showcase for queer, independent music, much like 2021’s sold-out spectacular ‘The Revenge Body Tour’ – except this time around, Aspaul is working closely with choreographers, musicians and costume designers to take his stage performances to another level.
In his own words: “I am thrilled to be bringing Life In Plastic to the stage. This album was written with lights, choreo, crowds and outfit changes all in mind. I really want to level-up from The Revenge Body Tour – a tour which actually blindsided me, the reception I got across the country was so wild, every venue sold out pretty fast – I almost feel like we hadn’t prepared the show enough for the actual event, though the audiences didn’t mind. So this time around, knowing I can do it, I’m so much more confident and ambitious. I’m also super excited to be taking the show abroad. It’s been incredibly tough organising this with no agent or promoter, but I got there in the end and I can’t wait to get on stage!”
