One of our many musical highlights this year has been witnessing Soft Crash tear up Barcelona’s Garage at Bass Valley back in July as part of the Berlin Waves festival. The duo is comprised of two of our artists of the year, Berghain-resident Phase Fatale & Pablo Bozzi.
Separately Phase Fatale specialises in post-punk, EBM, coming out with his own ‘Industrial Techno Smalltown Boy’ in 2022, Burning The Rural District. Bozzi has reignited our love for Italo this summer and just dropped a monster of a set via Boiler Room.
BUT…this week they announce Soft Crash’s debut album, Your Last Everything, bringing together the darkness and the light. Released via BITE records (founded by Phase Fatale), the album will be released 28th October and is available for pre-order now. You can also hear ‘Artificial Tears’ the first track to be taken from the album below.
“The album further expands the Italo Body Music palette into electro, acid house, bleep, hi-nrg, and IDM. The album centers itself around themes of dystopian cyberpunk and surreal cinematics. It looks to invoke emotion in cold and mechanical elements, making it feel like an organic new chapter in the duo’s ongoing exploration of the relationship between technology and the body. ‘Your Last Everything’ comes together in a sci-fi-like dramatic journey into another universe, juxtaposing internal conflicts of good and evil, creation and destruction, victory and defeat.”
We’re also looking forward to catching the guys perform live at Mira festival in November!
