Belarusian post-punk / synth-pop outfit Molchat Doma have just dropped the video to their most excellent new single, ‘Ty Zhe Ne Znaesh Kto Ya‘.

The song’s title translates from Russian as ‘You Don’t Know Who I Am’ with lead singer Egor saying, ‘It explores the pain and despair of feeling misunderstood by a loved one, and the endless guilt that ensues, even though you don’t realise how you yourself contribute to this pain.’ Egor’s emotional Gregorian Chant-esque vocal is layered over a squelchy EBM beat that we could totally hear being pumped out in Berghain by our favourites, Cormac, Phase Fatale or Curses.

‘Ty Zhe Ne Znaesh Kto Ya’ is taken from their upcoming album, Belaya Pelosa, out 6th September on Sacred Bones. The group will be touring UK/EU this Autumn. See www.molchatdoma.com for more details.
