We love an unhinged pop moment and here to deliver us to evil on Halloween no less is Dark Arts alt-kween, Allie X.

Offering us an omen of the ghoulish things to come, Allie X returns with the deliciously malicious ‘Black Eye‘ – a song with the shrillest of vocals, so sharp it will slay you on the first listen. It is the dark, evil twin to our favourite 80s anthem, Exposé’s ‘Point of No Return.’

Accompanied with a self-directed video, inspired by Dada artist Marcel Duchamp, Allie X says, ‘Parallels are drawn between art, life, good and evil and the gamification of all of it. Done with a wink and a bit of camp.  Just like the song.’

Immediately under our skin, the track has us excited to sacrifice ourselves once more at the altar of Canada’s greatest goth-pop iconoclast.
