Morning Rituals

We love getting emails from photographer Karl Slater because we know there will always be attachments filled with only the hottest guys – and this week’s email was no exception. He’s been getting naked for the Exterface x Stiaan Louw of late and now he’s stripped down to his briefs for us – he is James Alexander. You’re on the verge of breaking the internet right now. When it comes to reality celebrities whose rulebook have you been following?
To be honest I don’t follow much of what is happening in the reality celebrity world. I don’t know why?! Haha…I do love Beyoncé’s social presence very much, she doesn’t try too hard. It looks effortless and artistically beautiful at the same time. As for Kardashians, I don’t care about them too much.

Who would you most like to model for?
That’s such a good question!! I’ve worked with some gems already, there is this photographer in China called Sun Jun. I love his combination of Western-style photography combined with classical elements of Chinese painting. It’s really elegant and understated. I love his colour palette.

Any anecdotes from the Loverboy shoot at all?
For the shoot, some of the shots were photographed facing a busy London road. It was so funny to see the reactions of people on the buses seeing a half-naked guy hanging out of the window. It was also really cold! But of course such a lot of fun.

Which of these images is going to be your next Grindr pic?
I don’t have Grindr. Hahahahhaha…but definitely some of the bedroom shots would be suitable for that.

We’re named after the INFAMOUS Mariah song ‘Loverboy’. Which is your favourite Mariah song?
‘Honey’ hands down. I love RnB Mariah all the way. Loverboy rocks too…
