Mira Festival was one of our highlights last year here in Barcelona and the team just dropped the first lineup for their 2023 edition which kicks off this November!
Some of our lovers confirmed so far are Italians Do It Better’s Johnny Jewel, UK DJ Mura Masa and our favourite punks, Special Interest. Twenty-three artists have been revealed to be attending the event so far, which takes place in the centre of the city, at Fira Montjuic on 10-11th November.
Mira focuses on all things Digital Art and festival goers can expect to get lost in audio-visual shows, live musical performances, 360º immersive screenings, art installations and DJ sets. Offering up a more sonically diverse palette of artists than ever before, Mira 2023 looks to be serving up artists that will make you want to dance – whether it be swaying side to side to some ambient trance or full on rioting to punk. Mira will make you shake off the cold and feel this November.
“We find ourselves in a context in which the exhaustive study of our behaviour by technologies has led to the creation of a personalised microcosm around us. Algorithms feed this microcosm every day with ideological, sexual, informative, advertising and cultural content related to us, creating a sugar-coated reality in a comfortable and cloying environment. In this context, MIRA represents the crack through which the light enters; a fissure that, bit by bit, bursts into our greedy bubble, exposing us to the taste of the complex, the unknown, the uncomfortable… offering us “an outer taste”. Artists Erques Torres and Martin Verastegui.
Tickets for MIRA 2023 can be purchased on DICE or on the festival’s website.
