Last year was not without its controversies for Roísín Murphy, but that didn’t stop her dropping one of the best albums of the year with Hit Parade.
The album saw her collaborate with the ever-trippy DJ Koze on an album that drew from Jazz, House and Roísín’s Voice Memos. Although it was a dreamy journey of an album, it was a litte sparse on balls-to-the-walls bangers. Maybe feeling the same kind of way, Roísín is now releasing Hit Parade Remixes featuring alternative takes on the tracks courtesy of legend Moodymann, NY’s beloved Eli Escobar and our recent ‘One to Watch’ System Olympia. The package drops 24th May just in time for her appearance at Primavera Sound 2024.
Today, along with news of the project, Roísin is giving us ‘The House’ (System Olympia Remix) of whom she has to say: “I’ve known System Olympia for a couple of years having reached out directly to her because I fell in love with her music. We have collaborated on coming music for her project. She’s a producer and songwriter of immense class, her work is deeply funky and sexy and cool. She’s a sister.” – Roísín Murphy
