On a dark, wintery, Sunday night, Paula Tape is taking us on an Acid House trip through the Selva Valdiviana rainforest as we listen to her latest Acid Latino EP. No ayahuasca neccessary.
The four track EP just dropped via Future Classic and sees the Chilean born DJ/Producer explore her South American roots. The EP’s title, Acid Latino, was carefully chosen by Paula Tape to shine a spotlight on the vibrant South American music scene. The final project is a mesmerising and unique soundscape that reflects Paula’s rich cultural background and artistic vision. Opening the EP is the first single and title track, ‘Acid Latino (Sonido Real)’ giving you all those squelchy Acid sounds, a Latin breakdown and an inviting whispery vocal. It’s dark and intimate but also with massive four to the floor energy. ‘Feel 2 Real’ brings in big 90s Housey Rave vibes while our favourite ‘Ibis’ features some killer saxophone over Latin beats.
Acid Latino is available to stream now.
Vinyl also available to order at Bandcamp.
