As soon as we got the photos back from Venfield8‘s shoot with Seth Fornea we immediately thought, ‘DAMN, these are fire! Who’s he going to shoot for us next?’ The images he took of Seth were so hot, daring and editorial we knew we’d be hooking up together in the not too distant future.
As we began to think through our list of potentials, two names really stood out, Chase and Ross – firstly because they are undeniably super-attractive but also because Venfield8 is fond of a solo shot and we wanted to keep him on his toes! But as you can see he likes a challenge and the three of them really had fun holed up in a New York hotel one evening. Take a look at these images and find out more underneath.
CHASE & ROSS
Hi guys, first up thanks so much for modelling for Loverboy.
Ross: Anytime! I love the style and direction of the magazine – very different and interesting. I can relate. 🙂
Aw shucks. What was it like working with Venfield8?
Chase: Venfield8 was great to work with, taking pictures was super chill even when we were upside down standing on our heads! lol
Ross: I wasn’t sure what to expect having never spoken or seen his face, but he was so sweet, professional and accommodating. Felt very comfortable with him right away.
What are your 9 to 5 professions?
Chase: I work as an art director for a fashion photography agency in NYC. I design the website and portfolios, all that fun stuff.
Ross: I work in pharmaceutical market research.
And when you’re not working, you’re trekking up in the Mountains, right?
Chase: I grew up hiking them as a kid, my dad really helped instill a love for nature in me. There’s some deep magic there, putting your body through a difficult ascent and then being rewarded by breathtaking views. It’s the best stuffs.
Ross: I grew in New England and we were always outdoors. I feel very connected with nature – it’s in my blood. Look at me!
What’s the weirdest thing you find hot in a man?
Ross: Gap teeth, ears that stick out, really close-set eyes, receding hairline…
Chase: It depends on the man. I have a weird thing for lips, not just how they look…but down to the way they move when a guy talks…that’s probably the weirdest. But a guy who’s eyes look like they’re chasing each other, close second.
What’s your favourite Mariah Carey song?
Chase: I have a couple great Mariah mixes on my Soundcloud…’Emotions’…but I sat next to her in the basement of Cafeteria one New Year’s Eve. It was just our party and hers, they were only piping her tunes through the sound system. Cause yea, Mariah. She had too much bubbly and had to be assisted out 😉
Ross: In elementary school and Junior High I was all about her: ‘Emotions’, ‘Dreamlover’, Fantasy and the one where she’s in a movie theater and she fights herself in the bathroom.
That would be ‘Heartbreaker’, Ross. Haha….thanks guys.

VENFIELD8
V8 this is the second time you’ve shot for Loverboy. Why do you keep coming back for me? Haha…
V8: I love shooting for Loverboy because you guys just want pictures that are fun and beautiful. You focus on subjects that are up and coming, not the usual over exposed celebrities. It is alway so relaxed and exciting to work for you…
*BLUSH* Why did you want to shoot Chase & John?
Because they are beautiful, duh. Hahahahaha. But seriously, like lots of people I had been seeing their pictures around for a while and I didn’t even know they were a couple. Then once I learned that, I was really inspired to capture them together, but in a way most people have never seen them. I wanted to show them unscripted and to reveal their intimacy and closeness, in a chic and beautiful way.
Do you shoot many couples?
No, so I was a little anxious going into that – after all, I really didn’t know them personally, and had no idea how that dynamic would play out. But they are both so great – so friendly, so staggeringly beautiful, naked and they just let me into their world. And they are both creative as well, so it wasn’t me just dictating the shots – we all just hung out and we came away with these amazing images. I have little crushes on them both!
How did you decide on the venue?
Because I was traveling to New York to shoot this, I wanted something that felt traditional and old-world elegance as the backdrop. My friends are amazing luxury travel agents – called Eden For Your World – and I just told them what I was looking for. They put me into this spectacular hotel off Central Park. It was perfect.
Who is next on the V8 hitlist?
I just did an amazing shoot with model/activist/rapper Robby Zumaya – another guy so beautiful it is hard to believe my luck. I’m working on a project with the amazing Anthony Verrecchia. I am always on the lookout for great subjects, so if any of your readers are interested in getting in front of my camera, contact me – info@venfield8.com.
