Loverboy had been excited for, Succubus, the new EP from Swedish sex-positive producer, vocalist and all round bad bitch, COBRAH but we still were not ready for the power of it all! The EP takes its name from a demon that assumes female form and attacks men by fucking them as they sleep, and the moment, COBRAH truly came for our necks can be pinpointed at 0:54 on the track, ‘Bad Position.’ The way she elongates that ‘Baaaaaaaaaaaaad position’ creates so much tension it’s crazy, like to the point that it’s uncomfortable, causing us anxiety but in the best way, something that is very on brand for COBRAH.

It’s been a riot of a journey from her first single, ‘U Know Me’ in 2019 to this fully evolved, top tier of an album. Starting out with the most underground of vibes, COBRAH has only sharpened her edges and shied even further away from softening her sound for a more mainstream market. Something others could learn from her. *cough cough*, Kim Petras. So here we are with seven tracks about sucking, seducing and slaying. There’s the smash club anthem, ‘Suck‘, and the sultry ‘Manic‘ which has got deep under our skin and the banger that is ‘10/10.’
